The year 2016 marks another connection for Securus Technologies. Chief Executive Officer of Securus Technologies reports another increase in approved patents in the company’s portfolio. The United States Patent Office issued two new patents during the month of July 2016. Currently, the numbers increase to approximately 247 which are the largest in the industry, and Securus is still in the wait for the return from 90 new patent applications over the past 3-years.
Ideally, Securus Technologies outfit continues to comment… Their patents are build around products that the customer-base agrees will be effective and useful for the inmates. Also known as “Remote Multi-Party and/or Event-Driven Visitation for Residents of Controlled Environment Faculties” and the “Multi-Party Analyzer and Logger,” those two particular patents will influence the increase in company-related productivity, which includes staying connected with institutionalized via live feeds and telecommunications technology by voice recognition – Patent #9,380,082; Patent #9,386,146.
What is a Patent?
Contrarily, the definition of software patents has been undetermined. In fact, the U.S. patent excludes “abstract ideas” which includes some patents that involve software.
However, in hopes, the Securus Technologies unit trusts their ideas with the reclusive business colleagues while patents can be protected from up to 20-years.
Overall, inmate families and outside friends can equally find value in Securus services and products. For over three decades, their products continued to be beneficial to officers, investigators, victims of crimes, as well as to society. Those are a part of the Securus bible for the future of customer relations.
